What is cyclocross? Cyclocross (cross or cx for short) is a lap-based race held on a course set up in a local park. Courses are about a mile long and racers complete as many laps as possible in 40 or 60 mins. Courses are a combo of pavement, grass, and gravel, and there are usually a few obstacles to manuever through.
Kisscross Cyclocross Michigan runs a four race cyclocross series and YOU should join in the fun! MSBC will be hosting the race at Lakeside Park (Caledonia) on Sunday, October 1 and we would love to have you racing with us!
Races are spectator and family friendly- Spectators are encouraged to cheer loudly, give out "handups" like donuts, twizzlers, dollar bills, water and beer to the racers. Since the laps happen within the park, you will see racers A LOT.
